Music Theory 101

A course for all musicians about music theory -- the foundation of all music classical and modern! After you work through this course, you will be able to converse with other musicians in the language of music theory, understand the relationship between various keys and chords, and understand why the music we love is beautiful, catchy, or bittersweet. Specifically, this course teaches: - Half steps and whole steps - Five finger scales - One-octave major scales - The circle of fifths - Major and minor intervals - Major, minor, and diminished triads - Two-octave arpeggios - Inversions - Chords within a scale - Chord Progressions
