May Newsletter

Hello everyone!

Where has the time gone?? I can't believe it's almost the end of the school year! Here's all the info you need as we wrap up this school year.

The final recital is Saturday, May 11 @ 1:00 pm at the Richland Public Library. Students should wear something nice. Bring a dessert to share afterward!

The last week of school-year lessons is the last week of May, so the last day of lessons is May 30.

Then there's a two-week break and summer lessons start!

Summer Lessons

Summer lessons are for EVERYONE! They are built into your lesson tuition. Everyone's tuition has paid for 5 lessons you can schedule flexibly over the summer. This means that instead of having a regular lesson at the same time every week, you can schedule them throughout the summer on the dates/times that work for you. Most weeks, lesson times are available Tuesday-Thursday between noon - 4 pm. There are a few weeks where I'm gone during the week (or am helping to run a piano camp), so there are lesson times available on Monday, 12-4pm on those weeks . If you need a time outside of what's available, please let me know.

Click on the button below to sign up for summer lessons. You'll need to enter the password "pianorocks" to see the page. There is an short video walking you through the steps to register - I would highly recommend watching it!

Piano Camp

Students ages 8-11 have such a fun opportunity this summer! I'm teaching up with fellow piano teacher Carrisa Pitkin-Cox to run a piano camp! There's two options - July 23-25 and August 20-22. It's going to be so much fun! Click on the button below for more details!

Jazz Combos

And for middle and high school students interested in jazz - we're doing a super fun jazz combos program where they get to learn songs and perform them in a small jazz band (piano, bass, drums, maybe a horn player too depending on how many sign up). It's going to be tons of fun! Click on the button below for more details!

If you want to seek what it'll be like, come to the performance below!

Wednesday, May 22, 6-8 pm @ Emerald of Siam (jazz student performance + Stephanie Steele Quintet)

Thank You!

Lastly, I just want to say THANK YOU for a great year! I know you parents put in a lot of work to make piano lessons happen - paying for them, driving kids to lessons, and helping them practice. Thanks for everything you do! I'm looking forward to hearing everyone play at the recital on Saturday!
